1. Overview
MVR Time Bill ("the App") is a time billing calculator that helps you calculate hourly service charges in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.
2. Data We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account, the App collects your email address and a password (stored as a hashed value). This is used solely for authentication and is stored securely on the App's backend servers.
b. Business Details
You may optionally enter your employee name, phone number, and account number to display on receipts. This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
c. Billing Records & Transactions
Time calculations, saved bills, income, and expense records are stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (e.g., as a PDF or CSV file).
d. Payment Information
When you purchase a subscription, the App creates a transaction through Bank of Maldives (BML) Connect. Payment is processed entirely on BML's secure payment page — the App does not collect, store, or transmit your card or bank details. BML may retain transaction records and payment status for fraud prevention and accounting purposes.
3. How Data Is Stored
- Server-side: Email address and password hash (for authentication only).
- On-device (local storage): Business details, billing records, transactions, and app settings.
Billing and transaction data is automatically purged after 2 years unless you delete it sooner. Your subscription status is retained on the server until the subscription is cancelled.
4. Data Sharing
The App does not share your personal data with any third parties, except that subscription payments are processed by Bank of Maldives (BML), which handles your payment details independently and securely on its own platform. No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used. Your billing data remains on your device.
5. Data Security
Account credentials are handled by the App's authentication provider with industry-standard security practices. On-device data is protected by your device's own security measures.
6. Your Rights
- Delete your account: You can request account deletion, which removes your email and credentials from our servers.
- Clear local data: Use the Data Management section in Settings to purge records older than a selected period.
- Export data: You can export billing records as PDF or CSV at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
